Ukraine Emergency: Trentino prepares for the reception of new asylum seekers
The Autonomous Province of Trento together with the Commissariato del Governo are constantly engaged in the management of families fleeing the war in Ukraine.
At the moment, the first asylum seekers have found accommodation independently and have been taken care of by Cinformi, in collaboration with the Commissariato del Governo. However, in view of the acceptance of their request for asylum by the Italian authorities and other similar situations, various solutions are being prepared to guarantee their reception in Trentino.
In order to respond to the first emergency, the provincial social system is able to manage about a hundred requests, activating accommodation facilities throughout the territory.
Moreover, a health prophylaxis procedure has been established: at the moment of their arrival, asylum seekers will undergo a swab and a check of their vaccination status.
