The three areas of intervention of Cinformi are information (information points on the territory, training to make the services able to respond to differently expressed needs), sensitization (events and initiatives on the territory, study and research activities, integrated communication project) and reception (applicants for international protection, unaccompanied foreign minors, victims of trafficking for exploitation).
Information
Information at the counter on the territory and cultural mediation interact to facilitate access to public services and the building of positive relations. The training activity, on the other hand, makes the services able to respond to the needs differently expressed by the immigrant. This makes it possible to bridge the knowledge gap derived from the disadvantaged condition of the foreigners, in comparison to Italian citizens, making migrants able to move independently on the territory.
Sensitization
Constantly monitoring immigration in the province of Trento helps to better target policies aimed at dismantling unfounded prejudices and fears and fostering social cohesion. The organization of events and initiatives implemented in the territory, also in synergy with local authorities and the third sector, facilitate dialogue and mutual knowledge between different cultures. Cinformi's communication project conveys the real picture of immigration, equipping the community with the necessary cognitive and interpretative tools in the face of the evolution of the phenomenon.
Reception
Cinformi coordinates, in collaboration with the third sector, the reception in Trentino of forced migrants: applicants for international protection, unaccompanied foreign minors and victims of trafficking for exploitation. The activities are performed within the framework of an agreement protocol between the Autonomous Province of Trento and the Commissariato del Governo.
