The perspective of new EuropeansWhat should the EU do in the next 5 years?
T
he New Europeans Initiative
, run by the Migration Policy Group (MPG), launched a
survey
to gather responses from citizens with migrant or migration backgrounds on their expectations and priorities for the new EU Commission and Parliament in the coming years.
People with different cultural origins and backgrounds have become an inseparable part of European society. However, they face many barriers to their ability to have a voice in the decisions that affect them on a daily basis. The resulting participation gap is a key challenge for European democracy.
The survey collects the expectations of migrant-driven initiatives and migrant leaders for the EU, particularly the newly elected European Commission.
Responses will be shared with EU policymakers, stakeholders and the media. The survey is completely anonymous and lasts 10 to 15 minutes; you can withdraw at any time.
The deadline for filling out the survey has been extended to Sunday, 20 October.
