Deadline postponed to April 30, 2021Residence permits, new time extension
The deadline for the validity of permits and residence permits has been postponed from January 31, 2020, to April 30, 2021, in accordance with article 103, paragraphs 2-quater and 2-quinquies, of Law Decree no. 18 of March 17, 2020, converted, with amendments, by Law no. 27 of April 24, 2020.
This is stated in the circular sent to the Prefectural Offices by the Ministry of the Interior containing, among other things, the indications for the implementation of Decree-Law No. 2 of January 14, 2021, relating to "Further urgent provisions on the containment and prevention of the epidemiological emergency from COVID-19 and the conduct of elections for the year 2021". The new provisions regarding the validity of residence documents are indicated in article 5 of the decree-law.
