"Welcome-in-one-click" simplifies employment integration for asylum seekers
Refugees and employment, new UNHCR platform
The "Welcome-in-one-click" platform developed by the UNHCR, UN Refugee Agency, in collaboration with Adecco Foundation, to enable refugee and asylum seekers easier inclusion in the labour market is online. The new platform is closely related to the program "Welcome. Working for refugee integration," created by UNHCR in 2017 with the aim of promoting the labour inclusion of refugee people. To this day, UNHCR has involved more than 700 companies in the Welcome program that have contributed to this goal by promoting more than 30,000 work inclusion programs, thanks also to the support of civil society associations. The new platform aims to replicate and enhance the working methodology of the Welcome program: engaging and building bridges between companies, refugees, and civil society organizations.
Companies, refugee and asylum seekers, and associations that are part of the WelcomeNet network or that want and are eligible to join it can register on the Welcome-in-one-click platform. WelcomeNet is a qualified network of entities and organizations that realize pathways to labour inclusion by working alongside companies in corporate partnerships and supporting the people benefiting in empowerment processes.
