Signed the Decree establishing the quotas for the 2022/2023 competitive season
Non-EU athletes entries
1,200 quotas are the maximum entry limit of foreign sportsmen from non-EU countries who will be engaged in professional and/or otherwise paid sport activities for the 2022/2023 competitive season. This is stated in the Decree of the presidenza del consiglio dei Ministri signed on September 12, 2022, which is reported by the
inter-ministerial Integration Migrants portal

Those of non-EU sportsmen are among the so-called "out-of-quota" entries. This year's cap was again proposed by the Italian National Olympic Committee.
The 1,200 quotas will be distributed by the CONI among the various sports federations; they will also be used to contract athletes who are already in Italy with a residence permit for sports, work or family reasons and who can therefore only be registered within the set quotas.
