G7, the conclusions on immigration
"Affirming our collective commitment and enhanced cooperation to address migration, meet the challenges and seize the opportunities it presents, in partnership with countries of origin and transit." This is what is stated in the final document of the recent G7 held in Puglia.
"We will focus," it says among other resolutions, "on the root causes of irregular migration, on efforts to improve border management and curb transnational organized crime, and on safe and orderly pathways for migration. We launched the G7 Coalition to prevent and counter migrant smuggling."
