Procedures for entry, stay and matriculation of international students for A.Y. 2024/2025
Enrollment from abroad for universities, academies and music conservatories
The Ministry of University and Research has published the Procedures for Entry, Stay, Enrollment of International Students and Related Recognition of Qualifications for Courses of Higher Education in Italy valid for the academic year 2024-2025. An English translation is also available on the website. It is announced by the Interministerial Portal Integration Migrants . The procedures concern non-EU students residing abroad who want to come to attend courses at universities, academies and conservatories in Italy starting next academic year. Non-EU students already legally residing in Italy, on the other hand, can enroll under the same conditions as Italian or EU students.The first step, for international students who want to come to Italy, is to submit a pre-enrollment application through Universitaly.it, the only free and official access portal of the Ministry of University and Research. If the pre-enrollment application is accepted, they will be able to have an entry visa for Italy and, once here, complete the enrollment procedures and obtain a residence permit for study purposes.
