Centro Astalli presented the
2024 Annual Report
, an updated overview of the conditions of asylum seekers and refugees who during 2023 turned to the Italian branch of the Jesuit Refugee Service and used the first and second reception services in Rome, Bologna, Catania, Grumo Nevano, Palermo, Padua, Trento and Vicenza.
The Report, in addition to containing an account of a year of the Centro Astalli's activities, aims to be a tool to understand who the migrants are who arrive in Italy to seek asylum, what the main difficulties they encounter in the path to recognition of protection and access to reception or integration paths. Through testimonies and in-depth analysis, an attempt is made to bring out the main issues on forced migration in Italy: access routes, vulnerability, social inclusion.
