The UNAR (National Anti-Racial Discrimination Office) has released a Public Notice aimed at the knowledge and promotion of the history and culture of Roma and Sinti through education, culture and the arts (II Week of Action for the Promotion of Romani Culture and Countering Anti-Gypsyism, April 3-13, 2025). The Notice is addressed to Associations and Entities regularly registered with the Registry that carry out activities in the field of combating discrimination and promoting equal treatment referred to in Article 6 of Legislative Decree No. 215/2003 and to Associations that are part of the National Roma, Sinti and Caminanti Platform and the Community Forum.
“From April 3 to 13, 2025,” says UNAR, “we will celebrate the contribution of Roma and Sinti communities to our society and promote awareness-raising activities to combat all forms of racism. Events, meetings, exhibitions and moments of reflection will guide us on this journey of memory, knowledge and hope.”
