For the promotion of positive awareness and information actions

UNAR, the National Anti-Racial Discrimination Office, has published a Notice on the occasion of the 21st edition of the Week of Action Against Racism, to be held from March 17 to 23, 2025 (deadline November 29, 2024). The Notice is addressed to Associations and Bodies regularly enrolled in the UNAR National Register for the implementation of initiatives aimed at counteracting discrimination on the basis of ethnicity, also from an intersectional perspective, through education, culture, arts and sport.
The purpose of the Notice is to support positive awareness-raising and information actions aimed at fostering a culture of respect and social values for the prevention of and the fight against racism, intolerance and xenophobia, in line with the principles of the Constitution and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
These actions should aim, in particular, to encourage the emergence of values and testimonies through the positive narration of paths of inclusion, experiences of integration and active citizenship, for an effective fight against prejudice, misinformation and hate speech.
