Condanna la serie di sanguinosi attentati perpetrati di recente contro i fedeli cristiani e musulmaniContro la violenza in Iraq
Ecco il testo di condanna della Federazione delle Organizzazioni Islamiche in Europa (traduzione dall'inglese a cura del Cinformi).
"La Federazione delle Organizzazioni Islamiche in Europa (Fioe) ha seguito con sentimenti di tristezza e condanna la serie di sanguinosi attentati cui si è assistito di recente in Iraq, perpetrati contro fedeli cristiani e musulmani nei loro luoghi di culto, così come nei mercati e caffè, luoghi frequentati da un gran numero di civili. La Fioe rinnova nella maniera più forte la sua condanna nei confronti di questi terribili attacchi che hanno tolto la vita a tanti innocenti, violato la sacralità dei luoghi di culto e terrorizzato i civili nel loro culto e nella vita quotidiana. Inoltre, la Fioe esprime la propria solidarietà alle famiglie delle vittime, e i più sentiti auguri di pronta guarigione per i feriti.
Non c'è dubbio che gli attacchi ricorrenti ai luoghi di culto in Iraq non sono altro se non un ulteriore esempio di flagrante disprezzo per la vita umana e un tentativo di terrorizzare gli innocenti, come nel caso, verificatosi recentemente, dell’orribile crimine commesso in una delle chiese nel centro di Baghdad, quando sono stati presi in ostaggio i fedeli all'interno, con la conseguenza di decine di vittime. La Fioe condanna questi atti criminali, e ricorda gli insegnamenti islamici, i principi umani e i valori morali che proibiscono simili attacchi e criminalizzano tali azioni, giudicando riprovevole lo spargimento di sangue innocente, e condannando la sofferenza inflitta a persone innocenti, mentre si garantisce sicurezza e protezione ai fedeli nelle loro chiese e templi.
Non c'è dubbio che questi attacchi orribili richiamino l'attenzione sul pericolo insito in tale vile tentativo di minare l'integrità del tessuto sociale iracheno, e incoraggiare l'emigrazione di massa della popolazione. A questo proposito, la Fioe ricorda che i nostri fratelli cristiani sono una componente integrante e nativa della società irachena che ha radici profonde nel tempo, ed essi fanno altrettanto parte del tessuto del mondo arabo e musulmano. Prendere di mira loro è un grave atto di violenza nei confronti di tutta la società, così come lo è per il tessuto della civiltà araba e musulmana, e dei valori della convivenza e dell’armonia che sono stati custoditi nella regione per migliaia di anni. La Fioe auspica per il popolo iracheno la possibilità di porre molto presto fine al ciclo di uccisioni e distruzione che hanno patito per molti anni, e da cui, purtroppo, non sono stati risparmiati né moschee, né chiese, né mercati e strutture civili."
"The Federation of Islamic Organisations in Europe (FIOE) has followed with feelings of sadness and condemnation, the series of bloody attacks witnessed recently in Iraq, perpetrated against worshippers in Christian and Muslim places of worship, as well as places attended by large numbers of civilians in marketplaces and cafes. The Federation of Islamic Organisations in Europe renews its condemnation, in the strongest terms, of these appalling attacks that have taken the lives of so many innocents, violated the sanctity of places of worship, and terrorised civilians in their worship and daily life. Moreover, the Federation expresses its solidarity with the families of the victims, and its heartfelt wishes of swift recovery for the injured.
No doubt that the recurring targeting of places of worship in Iraq is but another example of the flagrant disregard for human life, and a terrorising of innocents, as was the case, recently, in the horrific crime committed in one of the churches in central Baghdad, in taking worshippers inside hostage, and resulting as a consequence in tens of fallen victims. The Federation condemns these criminal acts, and reminds of the Islamic teachings, human principles and moral values that prohibit such attacks and criminalise such actions, judging as reprehensible the spilling of innocent blood, and condemning harm to innocent persons, while assuring safety and protection to worshippers in their churches and temples.
No doubt that these horrific attacks call attention to the danger inherent in such vile attempts to undermine the integrity of Iraqi social fabric, and encourage mass emigration of the population. In this respect, the Federation of Islamic organisations in Europe reminds that our Christian brethren are an integral and native constituent of Iraqi society stretching far back in time, and form part of the fabric of the Arab and Muslim world as well. Any targeting of them is a grave act of harm against all society, as well as harm to the fabric of Arab and Muslim civilisation, and the values of coexistence and harmony that have become enshrined in the region over thousands of years. The Federation looks forward to the Iraqi people being able, very soon, to put an end to the cycle of killing and destruction from which they suffered for many years, and from which, sadly, even mosques, churches, markets, and civilian facilities have not been spared."
