IL DDL SICUREZZA E' LEGGE Approvazione definitiva per il disegno di legge sulla sicurezza. Chi entrerà in Italia o vi soggiornerà clandestinamente commetterà il reato di “ingresso e soggiorno illegale nel territorio dello Stato”. Non è previsto l'arresto, ma un'ammenda da 5mila a 10mila euro e l'espulsione immediata. Per avere la cittadinanza viene introdotta una tassa da 200 euro, mentre i ministeri dell'Interno e dell'Economia fisseranno la tassa sul permesso di soggiorno: la cifra sarà tra 80 e 200 euro. La permanenza nei centri di identificazione ed espulsione potrà arrivare fino a sei mesi. Chi affitterà alloggi a immigrati irregolari, solo in caso di ingiusto profitto, rischierà il carcere fino a tre anni. The security bill has been definitively approved. Those entering or staying in Italy illegally will commit the crime of "illegal entry and permanence within national territory”. The bill provides for a fine of between 5 and 10 thousand euro and immediate expulsion, but not for arrest. A tax of 200 euro has been introduced in order to obtain citizenship, whereas the Ministries of the Interior and Economics will establish the tax on residence permits: the figure will be between 80 and 200 euro. The length of time spent in identification and expulsion centres may be up to six months. Those renting accommodation to illegal immigrants will risk imprisonment of up to three years, however only in the event of unfair profits. 02/07/2009

IMMIGRATI, INFORTUNI IN AUMENTO Aumentano gli incidenti sul lavoro fra i lavoratori stranieri, mentre calano fra gli italiani. Il dato emerge dal Rapporto 2008 dell'Inail. Lo scorso anno gli infortuni denunciati in Italia sono stati in totale circa 875mila, il 4,1% in meno rispetto all'anno precedente. Fra i lavoratori stranieri c'è stato invece un aumento del 2% degli incidenti, arrivando a oltre 143mila denunce di infortunio. Gli incidenti accaduti a lavoratori stranieri hanno rappresentato, lo scorso anno, il 16,4% del totale. Rimane invariato, con 180 casi, il numero di infortuni mortali. Workplace accidents involving foreign workers are increasing, whereas they are falling among Italian workers. This is the data emerging from the 2008 INAIL report. Last year the number of accidents recorded in Italy was around 875 thousand in total, 4.1% less than the previous year, whereas for foreign workers there was an increase of 2% in the number of accidents, reaching a figure of 143 thousand accidents reported. Last year, accidents involving foreign workers represented 16.4% of the total. The number of fatal accidents was unchanged, with 180 cases. 03/07/2009

CREDITO “DIFFICILE” E' ancora difficile l'accesso al credito per i cittadini immigrati, soprattutto per chi intende avviare o consolidare un'impresa. Il dato emerge da una ricerca realizzata dal Cospe. Lo studio rivela però la crescita della bancarizzazione degli immigrati, che mostrano esigenze finanziarie sempre più complesse. Il 61% degli intervistati è titolare di un conto corrente e secondo le stime è probabile che nel 2015 ci saranno in Italia oltre 3 milioni di conti correnti intestati a immigrati, il 10% del totale nel Paese. Il 72% degli intervistati invia rimesse nel Paese di origine. It is still difficult for immigrants to gain access to credit, especially for those intending to start up or consolidate a business. This is the data emerging in a study carried out by COSPE. However, the study shows a growth in the use of banks by immigrants, who have increasingly complex financial needs. 61% of those interviewed had a current account and according to estimates it is likely that in 2015 there will be more than 3 million current accounts in the name of immigrants, 10% of the total figure for the country. 72% of those interviewed send money to their country of origin. 06/07/2009

TRENTINO A COLORI Sono oltre 42mila gli immigrati residenti in Trentino al primo gennaio 2009 e rappresentano l’8,2% della popolazione totale. L’aumento rispetto al 2008 è del 12,2%, circa 4.600 persone. E' un Trentino a colori quello descritto dal servizio statistica della Provincia autonoma di Trento. I nati vivi stranieri residenti nel 2008 ammontano a 850 unità. Il tasso di natalità si è attestato su oltre 21 nati per mille abitanti, con un leggero calo rispetto a quello dell’anno precedente, quando ammontava a 21,3 per mille. I dati sono in attesa della validazione finale dell’Istat. More than 42 thousand immigrants were resident in Trentino on 1 January 2009 and they represented 8.2% of the overall population. There was an increase of 12.2%, around 4,600 people, as compared to 2008. The picture painted by the statistics department of the Autonomous Province of Trento shows that Trentino is multi-coloured. There were 850 live births of resident foreigners in 2008, while the birth rate stands at more than 21 births per thousand inhabitants. This represents a slight fall as compared to the previous year, when the rate was 21.3 per thousand. The data is awaiting final validation by ISTAT. 06/07/2009
