MISURE RESTRITTIVE Il Consiglio dei ministri ha approvato in via definitiva i due decreti legislativi che erano stati inviati in via informale, per un parere, alla Commissione Ue. Il primo riguarda il riconoscimento e la revoca della qualifica di rifugiato e intende evitare strumentalizzazioni nella presentazione della domanda di asilo. Il secondo decreto riguarda il diritto al ricongiungimento familiare. Il testo introduce requisiti più stringenti per il ricongiungimento e prevede tra l’altro che il coniuge non debba essere separato e debba avere più di diciotto anni. RESTRICTIVE MEASURES The Council of Ministers has definitively approved the two legislative decrees which had been sent informally to the EU Commission for an opinion. The first decree concerns the recognition and withdrawal of refugee status and is intended to avoid exploitation of requests for asylum. The second decree concerns the right to family reunification. The bill introduces more stringent requirements and establishes, among other things, that the spouse must not be separated and must be over the age of eighteen. 24/09/2008

PATTO EUROPEO SULL’IMMIGRAZIONE Un Patto europeo sull'immigrazione e sui diritti d'asilo è stato approvato recentemente dal Consiglio giustizia e affari interni dell'Unione europea. Il Patto mira ad una regolamentazione dell’immigrazione legale basata sui bisogni e sulle capacità di accoglienza di ogni Stato membro, per favorire 'integrazione dei migranti. L’intesa punta inoltre ad un inasprimento della lotta all'immigrazione clandestina. Il Patto dovrà essere approvato definitivamente nel vertice dei capi di Stato e di Governo che si svolgerà il 15 ottobre prossimo. EUROPEAN PACT ON IMMIGRATION A European pact on immigration and the right to asylum was recently approved by the European Union Council for Justice and Internal Affairs. The pact aims to provide for regulation of legal immigration based on the needs and capacity of each member state to accept migrants, in order to facilitate their integration. The agreement also aims to strengthen the fight against illegal immigration. The pact will need to be approved definitively at the summit of heads of state and government to be held on 15 October. 29/09/2008

SPORTELLO MOBILE CINFORMI Sono quasi 400 le pratiche di permesso di soggiorno evase dal 22 settembre scorso dallo sportello mobile allestito in Valle di Non, in Trentino. Il servizio intende facilitare l’assunzione dei lavoratori impegnati nella raccolta delle mele. Lo sportello si trova presso l'ufficio postale di Cles ed è organizzato dal Cinformi e dal Servizio Lavoro della Provincia Autonoma di Trento in collaborazione con Poste Italiane e le Associazioni di categoria. Il servizio sarà disponibile sino a sabato 4 ottobre con orario 8.30-11.30. MOBILE CINFORMI HELP DESK Almost 400 applications for residence permits have been processed since 22 September by the mobile held desk set up in the Valle di Non in Trentino. The service is intended to facilitate the hiring of workers for the apple harvest. The help desk is situated at the post office in Cles and has been organised by Cinformi and the Employment Department of the Autonomous Province of Trento, in collaboration with the Italian Post Office and trade associations. The service will be available until Saturday 4 October from 8.30 to 11.30. 30/09/2008

DIRITTO DELL’IMMIGRAZIONE Un corso di alta formazione in diritto dell'immigrazione. L'iniziativa è organizzata dalla Cooperativa sociale Villa S. Ignazio di Trento in partenariato con l’Associazione Centro Astalli e la cooperativa sociale Samuele. Il corso si svolgerà dal 21 novembre 2008 al 10 gennaio 2009. I temi spaziano dall'analisi del fenomeno migratorio in Italia e in Trentino alle questioni giuridico-tecniche, come il ricongiungimento familiare, il diritto di asilo e la protezione internazionale. La segreteria organizzativa si trova presso Villa S.Ignazio. IMMIGRATION LAW A higher education course in immigration law. The initiative has been organised by the Villa S. Ignazio cooperative in Trento in partnership with the Centro Astalli Association and the Samuele cooperative. The course will take place from 21 November 2008 to 10 January 2009. The subjects covered will range from an analysis of immigration in Italy and Trentino to legal and technical questions such as family reunification, the right to asylum and international protection. The administration office is situated at Villa S.Ignazio. 26/09/2008
