MATURITA’ ANCHE SENZA C.F. “Non c’è nessun motivo di legge per cui la ragazza di Napoli non possa affrontare l’esame di maturità.” Lo afferma una nota del ministero dell’Istruzione, dell’Università e della Ricerca dopo il caso della studentessa irregolare cui sarebbe stata negata la possibilità di sostenere l’esame di maturità a Napoli. “Nel caso in cui uno studente fosse, per qualsiasi motivo, sprovvisto del codice fiscale – afferma la nota – verrebbe semplicemente escluso dalla base informativa del ministero, senza alcuna conseguenza per la sua privacy né per la sua possibilità di sostenere l’esame di maturità.” “There is no legal reason why the girl from Naples cannot take her school-leaving examinations” stated a note from the Ministry of Education, Universities and Research, following the case of a girl without legal status who was denied the chance to take the school-leaving examination in Naples. AFFITTARE A IRREGOLARI Affittare alloggi a immigrati irregolari non è reato se il canone di affitto risulta economicamente equo. Lo ha chiarito recentemente la Corte di Cassazione con una sentenza di cui dà notizia l’Associazione Studi Giuridici sull’immigrazione. Secondo la Suprema Corte, perchè possa configurarsi il reato è necessario il requisito del dolo specifico. Requisito che viene a mancare quando c’è equilibrio nelle prestazioni erogate fra titolare dell'immobile e inquilino; in altre parole, quando l’affitto non è esagerato e non si specula sull’irregolarità dello straniero. Renting accommodation to irregular immigrants is not a crime if the rent is fair. This was clarified recently by the Court of Cassation with a sentence made known by the Associazione Studi Giuridici sull’Immigrazione. According to the Supreme Court, for a crime to take place it is necessary that specific malice be involved. This is not the case when there is a balanced relationship between the landlord and tenant, in other words, when the rent is not excessive and the landlord does not take advantage of the illegal status of the foreigner. 09/06/2009

TRADIZIONI TRENTINE Far conoscere alle associazioni di immigrati che vivono in Trentino le tradizioni agroalimentari del territorio provinciale. E’ questo lo scopo dell’iniziativa in programma giovedì 18 giugno, alle 17.30, presso la sede della Federazione Allevatori, a Trento. Nel corso dell’incontro, l’assessore provinciale alla Solidarietà internazionale e alla Convivenza, Lia Giovanazzi Beltrami, illustrerà i risultati dell’Operazione ascolto sul territorio provinciale in materia di immigrazione e gli strumenti messi in campo per affrontare le criticità rilevate. ROVERETO, NASCE “PONTE ALAMEL” Una nuova associazione rivolta alle donne del Maghreb di religione musulmana è nata recentemente a Rovereto. Il nome dell’associazione, “Ponte Alamel”, unisce l'italiano e l'arabo e significa “ponte speranza”. L'obiettivo principale, affermano le promotrici, è quello di valorizzare il ruolo della donna maghrebina nella terra trentina. “Ponte Alamel” vuole essere però anche un punto di riferimento per affrontare i problemi delle donne immigrate. Allo stesso tempo, l’associazione intende rappresentare un luogo aperto al dialogo e al confronto con la comunità trentina. A new association bringing together Islamic women in the city was recently set up in Rovereto. The name of the association, “Ponte Alamel”, brings together Italian and Arabic and means “bridge of hope”. The main objective, the promoters state, is to promote the role of Arab women in Trentino. “Ponte Alamel” is also intended to act as a point of reference for dealing with and resolving the problems encountered by immigrants. At the same time the association wishes to act as a place for dialogue and the exchanging of ideas with the Trentino community. 12/06/2009
