“IDENTITA DIVERSE, NOTE COMUNI” “Identità diverse…Note comuni”. E' il titolo dell'evento del Festival dell’Economia 2009 proposto dall’assessorato alla Solidarietà internazionale e alla Convivenza della Provincia autonoma di Trento e dal Cinformi. Nel pomeriggio e fino alla notte del primo giugno il centro di Trento, le vie, i cortili e le piazze si animeranno con danze, musiche e canti da tutto il mondo. Saranno più di dieci le “isole di identità diverse e di note comuni”, distribuite lungo un percorso che coinvolgerà alcuni caratteristici angoli e luoghi della città. Una pacifica invasione di suoni, di danze e di canti trasformerà quindi Trento in un vero e proprio “teatro del mondo”. “Common notes … different identities…”. This is the title of the event taking place during the 2009 Festival of Economics organised by the Department of International Solidarity and Coexistence of the Autonomous Province of Trento and by Cinformi. On 1 June, from the afternoon until late at night, the streets and squares of Trento will be animated by dance, music and song from all over the world. There will be more than ten "islands of different identities and common notes”, distributed along a route that will involve some characteristic corners and locations in the city. A peaceful invasion of sound, dance and song will thus transform Trento into a genuine "theatre of the world”. 06/05/2009

IDAN RAICHEL PROJECT A TRENTO E sarà il concerto di Idan Raichel Project, definito recentemente il nuovo Peter Gabriel, a chiudere il ricco programma che il primo giugno animerà il centro di Trento. Sul grande palco che verrà allestito in Piazza Dante, Idan Raichel si esibirà con altri grandi musicisti e cantanti provenienti da Paesi di tutto il mondo. Sarà una vitale contaminazione fra pop e world music, ma anche una suggestiva miscela di musica etiope tradizionale, poesia araba, canti yemeniti, cantillazione ebraica e ritmi caraibici. A concert with Idan Raichel, recently defined the Middle Eastern Peter Gabriel, will close the programme of events animating the centre of Trento on 1 June. Idan Raichel will perform on the large stage to be set up in Piazza Dante, along with other great musicians and singers from countries all over the world. The concert will offer a combination of pop and world music, but also an evocative mixture of traditional Ethiopian music, Arabic poetry, Yemenite song, Hebrew chanting and Caribbean rhythm. IDENTITA' E CRISI GLOBALE “Identità e crisi globale” è il tema del Festival dell'economia 2009 che a Trento ospiterà fra gli altri gli eventi organizzati dall'assessorato provinciale alla Solidarietà internazionale e alla Convivenza e dal Cinformi. Il Festival si svolgerà dal 29 maggio al primo giugno. Fra le tematiche affrontate quest'anno si parlerà tra l'altro di identità nazionale ed europea, mercato globale, economia transfrontaliera, crisi finanziaria, economia solidale, integrazione, identità culturali e religiose. Il 30 maggio è in programma l'anteprima del film realizzato dal Cinformi sul tema della ricerca della casa da parte dei cittadini immigrati, con la regia di Razi Mohebi. “Identity and the global crisis” is the theme of the 2009 Festival of Economics, which along with many other events will include the initiatives organised by the provincial Department of International Solidarity and Coexistence and by Cinformi. The Festival will take place in Trento from 29 May to 1 June. The issues dealt with this year will include, among other things, national and European identity, the global market, transfrontier economics, the financial crisis, fair trade economics, integration and cultural and religious identity. On 30 May there will be the preview of the film realised by Cinformi about the search for housing by immigrants, directed by Razi Mohebi. 06/05/2009

RAZZISMO, OSTACOLO ALL'INTEGRAZIONE Il razzismo e la xenofobia, ma anche il lavoro nero, rappresentano un ostacolo all’inserimento dei lavoratori immigrati. Lo ha affermato il presidente della Camera dei deputati parlando del tema immigrazione agli studenti di San Donà Di Piave, in Veneto. “Da una nazione di emigrati, anche veneti e non solo siciliani o calabresi, verso la Germania o l’America - ha spiegato - abbiamo ora il problema opposto: inserire i lavoratori che arrivano da altri Paesi”. Il presidente della Camera ha sottolineato poi l'importanza di contrastare il lavoro nero per consentire ai lavoratori immigrati di essere in regola col permesso di soggiorno. In addition to racism and xenophobia, black market labour is also an obstacle to the integration of immigrant workers, stated the President of the Italian Chamber of Deputies, talking about the question of immigration to students at San Donà Di Piave, in Veneto. “From a nation of emigrants, including those from Veneto and not just from Sicily or Calabria, towards Germany or America", he explained, "we now have the opposite problem: integrating workers coming from other countries”. The President of the Chamber then underlined the importance of combating black market labour in order to allow immigrant workers to obtain permits and become legally resident. 05/05/2009
